News at URY

For the past two years running the News Team at URY have won awards for Best Journalistic Programme at the National Student Radio Awards and are always continuously striving to maintain the high standard that these awards demand.

As well as a 15 minute bulletin every weekday of national and regional news, called York Report, we have an hour of specifically student related news on Wednesdays at 5pm with York 60.

From the student protests in London, to the new study space on campus being named "The Brian Blessed Centre For Quiet Study", York 60 covers the news that matter to students.

Also on the programme, it's house hunting season and students are feeling the pressure - now even the estate agents are telling them not to sign up too fast. And YorkSport President Sam Asfahani joins us live in the studio.
